Romania Trip

Our train on the way to L'viv

L'viv

Night tour in Brasov

The Black Church

Bucharest

As our tour guide said, Bucharest is a city of contrasts, so a lot of it is very pretty, but some of the city is kind of ugly

This is the second largest building in the world, after the Pentagon. It really was gargantuan, but it's hard to show the scale of it! (There are also six floors under ground)

L'viv on the way home

This is a church that we found - it was very pretty!

We got to go to Romania on a four day weekend and it was really fun! It was from March 8 - 11. We stopped in L'viv, which is a city in western Ukraine, on the way to and from Romania. L'viv is very pretty! It is much more European than Kyiv. And in western Ukraine, most people speak Ukrainian instead of Russian. In eastern Ukraine (where Kyiv is) Russian is definitely the more common language. The trip was so fun, but we did end of having a ridiculous amount of travel time! It actually took longer to get from my house in Kyiv to Romania than it did for me to get from my house in Oregon to Kyiv! By like 12 hours! But I really did enjoy the time that I was in Romania. We stayed in Sinaia and went on a night tour in Brashov and then I went on an extra excursion to Bucharest.
